Our party starts in the village of Dazwala. Jagged coast to the west and grassy hills to the east. Dazwala has a temple to the cult of the Emperor. The Traffic Guild has a base here, they manage trade and other logistics for the Empire. A big graveyard to the south has been dug up. Dazwala has an Alps (sic) Club.

Near the graveyard some Elekan are being jeered at by a large mob of Kasadi. The graves here have been disturbed. The Elekan have dug up the graves and now the mob is calling them "heretics." The dead are being dug up to become slaves. Basim Bay (sic) is the probable culprit for selling the town out. The undead are replacing workers all over. We meet a man in the crowd named Onat (sic) who asks us to help repel the reinforcements on the way.

Hours pass and a troop stabs their polearm in the crowd. A melee begins. Some of the cowardly graverobbers run off! Pinar and Konstans push up with their shields raised, Septinos and Balava poised. Septiros clobbers one in the neck with their polearm. A pistol shot rings out and the other guard runs off. The mob descends on the poorer Elekan. During the ensuing chaos Textile Tailor inspects the open graves.

Pinar defiles the corpse of the guard, cutting off the head which is how the undead are prepared. Onat informs us that the caves are filled with Kasadi heroes who have risen again after the Empire invaded.

Onat is the undertaker and tells us the Alps Club (Alp is a Kasadi word for wandering poet, warriors) is a good place to hide out. He also pays the party 100 silver for their help. The Alps Club is pretty swanky. A big domed building with a hole in the middle for the sunlight to trickle down. People smoke, gamble, and carve away the night. A massive metal man is in the center of the club.

Two farmhands tell us the clubmaster, Elise bought the big machine from a man who found it in a sunken city 10 parasangs southeast of Dazwala and two parasangs west of Yakkon (City of Yaks.)

Konstans and Textile Tailor investigate the metal man. Textile Tailor wants to start dismantle the metal man for "research." The club master spits at him and shoos him away.

We stay the night at the Alps Club. Septiros and Konstans in one room and the rest in another. Boot steps wake us up as the guards start tossing rooms to search for us. Balava steps into the hall and charms the guard who ran off earlier. Diplomacy goes well but Septiros opens the door to slash at one of the guards. BLOCKED!

"Dance for me little boy!" Balava shouts and his new found friend busts it down. Tex shoots a pistol but misses. Konstans and Pinar let out attacks in the chaos, but Septiros is the only one who strikes! Another flurry of blows. Pinar tells one of the guards to put down their weapon. They listen! The other guard dodges a round of attacks, enraged by his friend's cowardice.

Tex shakes down the dancing guard for some silver and a locket.

The remaining guard tries to flee through a door but we drag him to the ground and strip off his armor and weapons. The guard promises us info about the Ancestral Cave if we let him live. Marqoos (sic), the dancing boy, assures us his friend is being honest.

We slip away into the night under the pretense of a prisoner convoy. A band of Elekan guards bump into us and ask us what we're doing. Our prisoner keeps the pretense up as the busy guards go through formal questions.

Eventually we make it to the cave. Our prisoner tells us his name is Elios and warns us about the undead. Frescoes adorn the walls, carved ribs in the ceiling, between the paintings are corpse shelves. Some mummies shamble toward us. Silver shovel in hand, Tex keeps them back.
