Griffin Mountain Play Report 4
The party continued the feast with the King of Trilus. We arrived stinking of booze but a guard gave us some herbs to sober up enough for the show. All of us took the herb save for Rosrolar who wanted to get in his cups for his puppet show to be performed later. The king welcomed us with piles of quail and sausages. We chowed down and relayed our story of the Broo attack from our first night in the region.
The princess soon asked for the puppet show and Rosrolar tried his best to relay the epic tale of Yelm and Orilanth but was a little haggard by drink. Daranth joined in to try and give his friend a helping hand but the blundering giant just made a farce of it. The feat continued and the princeling asked for a demonstration of the attack that killed the smilodon. Daranth obliged showing him to leap through the air with vigor. The princeling leapt and fell. The king brought some guards out for a proper demonstration of the attack and though a bit inebriated Daranth showed them the proper form with no accidents.
The feast went on and Grundle bent the ear of the king to tell him that our party would be honored to help his son go out on his ritual hunt. The king said he'd consider it and then asked us to be his eyes and ears in the region. The messenger hawk Col. Sanders was given to us. The bird took an immediate liking to Rosrolar.
The rest of the night was spent getting our gear seen to and finishing off the food the king prepared. Next time our investigation continues!
