Griffin Mountain Catch Up Reports!

A little bit behind on play reports for the awesome Griffin Mountain game being run by Oldskolgmr. These aren't exhaustive notes but should catch us up to where we are presently.

After a raucous night in the in the inn Daranth and Grundle went to the main gate of Elkoi to meet up with their friends. Another round of haggling with the gate guards went down but soon we were walking around. Under the great tree of Elkoi a supernatural feeling of calm washed over us. So much so that any feelings of strife towards Lunars or other worthwhile targets went to the wayside. Creeped out by the grand tree we investigated around in the city to find the person we need to deliver a missive to. She hasn't been seen in the city but was known to be friendly with a guy named Jomet (sic) who is a caravan tender between the strongholds.

During our day in Elkoi numerous people told us to move on from the city before the nobles took an interest in us and forced us to entertain them until our deaths! So we legged out it out of there and encountered some members of the Thunder Lizard tribe who were in the midst of hunting down a smilodon. Grundle was keen to join in the hunt. Along the way we found signs that the big cat was hunting down some sort of military patrol from dead mounts and discarded gear. When we found the big cats they were stalking a pair of citadel messengers. We sprung into action and Daranth lopped the head off of the male. The guards were incredibly thankful and took us to the stronghold of Trilus to meet their king.

An avid hunter in his youth the king was thrilled to hear our tale of the hunt. We gifted him a tooth and after some drinking and a very kindly old woman sobering up Oly, we left off at a moment of suspense in the King's hall...

This game is a blast and one of the best ways to get to experience the world of Glorantha as a player. My fellow players are a hoot and love to dig into social scenes and oldskolGM is a pro at presenting this very lively world for us to bounce around in. We play once a week and it's something I really look forward to.
