The Situation
- Our party stares down the hooded figures at the edge of the forest
- We're feeling... frisky! (retreating is for wussies)
- The party prepares a ranged appetizer for our cloaked guests before engaging in close quarters
- Yo, Andred broke out the jacks and marbles!?
- The fellas are executing all manner of hacking and slashing
- The battle progresses. Two of the hooded hooligans have been vanquished in the initial volley of blows. One in their frenzied panic topples a summoning stone. It explodes.
- Smallbuck is knocked unconscious!
- Andred is knocked unconscious!
- One of the remaining hooded figures holds up a sigil
- Everyone has to throw a save versus spells!
- [REDACTED] fails! He runs away for one turn!
- Loomer & Rose fail! They run off into the woods!
- Milktongue ain't having it and greets one of the hooded figures as if they were a nail
- Tolumbolo captures one in their spotlight (eyes) and melts them like a Kraft Single
- Yo, Andred's almost corpse has been on fire for four turns... Oh, they self extinguished!
- Wumbus CTRL-Z's the final hooded figure
- Oh... Andred's... extinguished
- The wraith flees!
- The party solemly looks over Andred's corpse. Wumbus makes a wish...
- Andred awakes from the deepest sleep they've ever slumbered
- The party slowly collects themselves from their frenzied fugue state
- Andred seems to have a newfound appreciation for life! And, particularly, the party
- The breggle knight we saved just up and LEFT with NO FANFARE dude c'mon what a scam. Screw that guy.
- Andred storms off into the forest, declaring "I have unfinished business." (Well, he was the one that was finished but that's besides the point)
- The party follows Andred. Andred insists the Wraith is his to spar with
- It's high noon in Dolmenwood.
- Andred slashes the Wraith, it struggles to stay in this corporeal realm
- The Wraith reaches out to grab Andred as a grounding presence
- The Wraith reaches for its sword...
- Andred ducks the incoming sword slash. He turns its blade back onto it
- The Wraith turns to dust, its antlers fall to the ground
- Damn Andred. I shouldn't be an MC who talkin' all that junk about who could beat who. The scribe is the punk. Strictly cash money in the Dolmenhood today.
- THE GAINS.
- An incalculable amount of riches (that's for the treasurer to figure out)
- Wumbus isn't happy about the breggle knight and their lack of manners. He sets off into the woods to find them
- Oh my god he sicced the dog on him the dog mauled him to bits
- Among the regalia plundered from the breggle, its noted that he served Lady Mulbreck
- The party has a quiet night at camp eating phenob stew. Except Milktongue. He has very strict dietary requirements
- The party journeys to Harrowmoor Keep to check in with the fellas and the fair lady to see if we've got any instructions
- The nearly dead hireling sqiure is carted away and their wounds tended to
- The fair lady has finished an equisite dinner and grants us an audience
- Andred regales the details of the wedding ceremony, then cuts right to the chase about the funny business in Odd
- The lady suggests either finding something to consecrate the ground, or to try and use some sort of enchantment in order to ground Odd to our reality
- She warns us from following the advice of self interested witches as their advice tends to come with unintended consequences
- The party stays the night at Harrowmoor Keep
- The squire returns from the castle cleric! Rejuvenated! Hallelujah.
- The party journeys to Prigwort
- XP TIME
- A team of clerics will be sent to Odd to try and contain The Situation
- TRAINING TIME
SESSION END
#GM Notes Damn big combats are fun! The back and forth as the Drune tried to cast and the players rushed to interrupt them. Declarations and movement add so much to combat and should be used in any D&D-like.
The players are spending two weeks on training so in the meantime we will be going up to the northwest of Dolmenwood for the bandit party arc to start.
